Remington Model 14-1/2 Carbine (14-R), .44 Remington or 44 WCF Caliber, the carbine version of the Model 14-1/2 is uncommon and not easy to find. The model number is stamped on the barrel, this practice ended in 1924 when they started stamping the model number on the barrel. This gun has the correct "Thumbwheel Sight" on the barrel. The metal finish is original and has a lot of condition. No cracks in the stocks. The butt plate is metal. The bore is in excellent condition. There isn't a lot of published information about these guns that I'm aware of other than the 72 page book by Ken Blauch. Please don't hesitate to ask questions.
