Description:
Remington Model 14 Carbine (14-R), .25 Remington Caliber, the carbine version of the Model 14 is uncommon and not easy to find. This gun has the "Thumbwheel Sight" on the barrel. The butt plate is hard rubber. The barrel has Model 14-R stamped on the barrel. Stamping the model number on the barrel ended in 1924, when it was moved to the receiver. There appears to be a couple of small cracks in the butt stock where it meets the receiver. The bore is in excellent condition. The 25 Remington caliber is the least produced caliber. There isn't a lot of published information about these guns that I'm aware of other than the 72 page book by Ken Blauch. Please don't hesitate to ask questions.
