Zastava LK M70 sporting rifle , A sporting version of the Zastava M24 (i.e. FN M1924) version of the Mauser M1898.
A near perfect sporting rifle. Side mounted sliding safety that blocks the trigger and prevents the bolt from being opened.
The traditional European double set trigger. The adjustment screw is just ahead of the rear trigger.
Original cal. 8 X 57. The bore showed signs of using surplus corrosive 8mm ammo and was badly pitted, so
it was sent to JES Rifle Reboring, and was rebored and chambered to 35 Whelen.
I have shot a sub MOA group at 75 yds.
Average 100 yard group has been 1 1/4"
Would make a great elk, or moose rifle, or anything in North America.
6X Russian scope works great and is included.
The set back scope mounts were needed for best eye relief (for me), and is solid.
If you don't like the scope set-up, I'll remove it and knock $100.00 off the price.
No extra charge for the mug shot of your quarry somebody (not me) artfully carved in the stock.
It's not very deep and if you wanted to refinish the stock it would easily sand out.
