THIS TRAP HAS BEEN SOLD.
This is a #7 Sawtooth Bear Trap (# 35 of only 50 made). It weighs over 80 pounds and is 53" from spring tip to spring tip, which dwarfs the Newhouse #6 grizzly bear trap at 44 pounds. One of the strongest and largest traps made.
This trap comes complete with the extended long chain, hand hammered 3-prong drag and cold shut. High quality steel was tempered to produce the super strong springs and chain assembly. The trap has numerous hand stamps on the base, drag, springs, cold shut, connector link, jaw posts, pan post, and brass tag. The trap has the serial # 35 of 50 engraved into the base and stamped on the brass tag, showing that there were only 50 made. The wicked looking teeth and excellent craftsmanship make this a unique item to display in the rustic lodge, bar, man cave, or museum.
With the limited number made you probably won't see another one of these again.
