Description:
**SOLD** An INCREDIBLE HAND ENGRAVED example of the Colt 1903 Pocket Hammer .38acp (.38 auto) and grandfather to the 1911. Originally made during WW1 in 1917, this is presented preserved and in prestine condition with Colts royal blue finish and niter blue accents. I personally cleaned-polished, preserved and blued every piece during a 6 month, 60 hour time frame. All lettering, numbers and emblems are perfect depth and crisp. Every screw and pin re-slotted and re-surfaced. I'm an avid collector of Colt and only restore about 4-5 guns a year. All are done by hand and are like factory new (plusprestoration dot com).
This particular Colt was master hand engraved by RANDOLPH SCOTT and is based on a period correct pattern taking around 40 hours. THESE ARE SIMPLY NOT SEEN FOR SALE.
