Description:
SOLD
U.S. Springfield Model 1873 Trap-door 45-70, full length Infantry model.
Some call these the "Indian wars" guns, because the only military conflict we were engaged
in between the Civil war and the Spanish American war was with the Native Americans.
Although most cavalry units that traveled out west, including Custers men, carried the shorter carbine version.
This one appears to have lived a pampered life, and no doubt never left the east coast.
Complete with a correct repro leather sling. all original sights, and cleaning rod. 1883 inspectors stamp on
left side of the stock, and "P" proof stamp behind trigger guard. (Usually missing or sanded off).
Bore in near perfect, and is suprisingly accurate.
$80.00 Insured shipping to your door, no FFL needed, Money order preferred, or check.
