Description:
SOLD PENDING FUNDS 3/16/22 Made in 1925, surprisingly with BP proofs but without the normal BP "pitting", for a serious rifleman, judging by the most unusual and attractive glare-reducing machine-matted barrels, stippled muzzles, and near-perfect bores. Non rebounding hammers, stalking safeties, checkered front trigger. Tight action. Chambered for the 500/450 Magnum 3 1/4" case, with slow twist barrels for a 350 grain jacketed .458 bullet, at 10lbs. Includes a NIB set of CH4D dies. Brass can easily be made from 500 or 470NE.  Grooved and matted rib, two leaf rear sight is original and undisturbed. Sound wood, 13 3/4" pull thru original engraved steel buttplate, 1 3/4 and 2 1/2" drops with 1/4" cast off. Looks all original and unrestored, screws do show signs of being turned, has been rejointed to tighter than new, and one hammer screw is a period replacement.
