Full custom rifle by Kurt Jaeger (Mainz) on an FN commercial Mauser made in Belgium 1953 cal 30-06 in very high condition. Jaeger was an engraver who also did stock work. He apparently did work for the Shah of Iran, for Eisenhower, and for Genl Patton. Well-cut "Black Leaf" engraving on action, bottom metal w stag and extended release. Jeweled bolt, follower and release. Beautifully executed oak leaf stock w ivory and bone inlays, LOP 14.5", cheekpiece for a left handed shooter, also left-handed scope safety. Ebony schnabel forend tip and grip cap. 24" sighted barrel, 2 leaves, mint bore. Weaver USA K4 w German post in Weaver pivot mounts. Buttpad marked "Kurt Jaeger Meisterbuchsenmacher Mainz" and sling swivels marked "Jaeger". First class work, 8.5lbs
