BEAUTIFUL, FANCY SHILOH SHARPS, BIG TIMBER, MONTANA MADE CUSTOM NO. 1 SPORTER IN .45-70 CALIBER. This is a truly gorgeous Shiloh that was made in 2004. It was ordered with a 28" standard weight octagon barrel (total rifle weight 10 3/4 lbs.). The No. 1 Sporter comes standard with a pistol grip, shotgun butt with cheek piece and double set triggers. This rifle was special ordered with extra fancy walnut and AA wood finish. It also has the checkered steel shotgun butt plate and pewter forend tip. The barrel is fitted with a semi-buckhorn Lawrence ladder rear sight, an MVA #113 spirit level globe front sight with full insert card and scope blocks spaced approx. 17 inches apart to take a straight tube MVA scope. The tang is also fitted with a short range vernier sight adjustable for windage and elevation. The walnut is highly figured with good color contrast and is fairly dark. Overall, this rifle looks about new and comes in the original hard case as shipped from Shiloh. Set up the way this one is, the catalog price would be well over $4000 along with a two-plus year back order wait time and probable price increases. I'm pricing this rifle at $3650.
