Description:
General Specs: Steyr Mannlicher Austria, Year1989, .300 Win Mag, 9lb 4oz, LOP 14"
Serial Number: 209309

Austrian craftsmanship in a classic Stalking Rifle, from one of the Europe's premier gun makers, the Steyr Arms Luxus are very well made rifles embodying six rear locking lugs, machine turned finish on the bolt and an elegant spoon handle that falls perfectly to hand and opens in 60 degrees. The barrel carries the characteristic spirals courtesy of the cold hammer forging process – a method that produces incredibly hard-wearing barrels. All the metal surfaces with a few exceptions which are a subtle bead blasted finish carry Steyr's high luster bluing. Nowhere is this finish more alluring than on the candy twist barrel! Complimenting the metal parts, the stock is nicely figured with a rosewood forend cap in the schnabel style, well placed hand cut checkering cut with a double border. The stock has a characteristically sculptured cheek piece and palm swell overall adding to the rifles overall pleasing proportions.

Mechanically the rifle is in top condition with a mirror bore and Steyr's fitted scope mounts (an expensive factory option) are ready for the scope of your choosing. Standard sights include a spring loaded adjustable front blade and an express rear sight with luminous pyramid marker. This rifle utilizes Steyr's set trigger whereby one can quickly choose between a standard trigger pull of 1.8lb (for those fleeting shots) and a set trigger activated by simply pushing forward with the index finger; the set trigger is adjustable through a small screw and is set at 2oz, ideal for target shooting or walk in and sit hunts where longer thoughtful shots are more common. The rotary tang safety two position safety, push and roll forward for fire and once used is very intuitive.

An excellent example of a classic European hunting rifle with a stylish profile in a sought after caliber, it ticks all the boxes and is ready for any game in North America, it's ready to ship, add it to your collection and enjoy.
