Description:
This is a late production, smokeless powder, Mexico or South American contract Remington rolling block rifle manufactured c. 1901-1902. The upper tang is marked "REMINGTON ARMS CO./ ILION. N.Y. U.S.A./PATENTED OCT. 22 1901". The barrel is marked "CAL. 7M.M." just ahead of the handguard and has a dovetailed blade front and folding ladder rear sight. It is equipped with an automatic ejector and is mounted on a nearly full length forearm and straight wrist stock with sling swivels on the front band and bottom of the buttstock. The bottom of the action is stamped "H", 7x57 Mauser

Metal Condition: Good condition retaining a fair amount of original blue with the receiver faded to plum brown
Wood Condition: Very good with a few scratches and a gouge on the butt stock right side.
Bore Condition: Frosty rifling with worn edges but quite shootable
