Description: The Colt Single Action Army® Revolver, except for the .357 Magnum chambering, this is basically the same as the US military service revolver used in the late 1800s—made with modern steel and machined to precise tolerances. The Single Action Army (SSA) was made famous for its natural pointing characteristics and its durable, simplistic design that results in unparalleled reliability. The revolver is constructed of machined steel; the main frame is color case hardened (not colored), and the grip frame, barrel, and ejector rod housing are high polished blued. This early third generation SAA does not have a bushed cylinder. Practical black composite eagle and rampant Colt grips provide a sure hold, as well as a traditional look and feel. The square notch rear sight is milled into the topstrap and the front sight is fixed solidly to the barrel, so the sights never get knocked out of alignment or interfere with drawing the weapon from a holster. The reputation of the Colt Single Action Army Revolver is partially based on some of the most famous Americans of the last two centuries, who carried it into battle and used it to tame the West.
