Description:
Winchester Model 1917 bolt action rifle. These 1917 rifles were the primary U.S. Army and USMC service rifle used throughout WWI and many saw service during the early days of WWII. The top of the receiver is marked "U.S./MODEL OF 1917/WINCHESTER/26846". The muzzle end of the barrel is correctly stamped with the Winchester markings of "W/US Ordnance Bombproof/1-17". The left receiver rail is stamped with the ordnance bomb followed by circled five point star. Mounted with a smooth two piece walnut pistol grip stock marked "R" and handguard with a stacking swivel and bayonet lug on the front band, unmarked floor plate, sling swivels and steel buttplate with cleaning kit compartment, (kit not included). Overall this refinished Winchester is in very good condition. .30-06 Springfield
