U.S. Springfield 1875 Type III Officers Model trapdoor rifle chambered in .45-70 with a 26"" barrel. Overall very good example, barrel is blue turning into a plum color. Receiver retains traces of original high blue finish. Stock shows some minor wear with faint cartouche visible. Bore is good with strong rifling. Only 477 of these rifles were manufactured.
