A beautiful Colt short barrel SAA in .45. Great western gun in dirty nickel manufactured in 1887 and shipped to Indian fighter and famous 45-70 barrel and gun builder JP Lower in Denver Colorado. If you collect western guns or Colorado guns, a JP Lower shipped letter is scarce. The Colt letter verifies the original nickel finish and 4 3/4 barrel length. At some point early in its life the rubber grips were changed out to beautiful old ivory. The grips have a name and city carved into the inside panel of one grip. Bore is very fine as is the action.
Very fine old gun in great mechanical condition.
