The Winchester Model 1912 or more simply Model 12 became an instant hit on its introduction. So smooth and fluid is the action that the Model 12 earned the epithet of "The Perfect Repeater". All Model 12's are built in a take-down configuration, a couple of quick operations separates the gun into two transportable pieces with all parts captive, making for easy cleaning and storage.
This Winchester Model 12 is an authentic Deluxe 28ga with its correct factory 26" barrel; its shell stop and rear action wall are both stamped 28 authenticating this 28ga as the real deal. It has a Simmons installed vented rib sporting double ivory beads, a duckbill and matted receiver that really makes this gun whole. This expertly restored gun has all the great Deluxe/Pigeon grade features including a jeweled bolt and lifter, skeet three diamond forend, capped pistol grip and a stock of American black walnut featuring magnificent feathering with some fiddleback on the belly. The pattern is repeated on both faces - an extraordinary piece of furniture here highlighted with a deep gloss hand rubbed oil finish.
With a barrel exhibiting a mirror bore and correctly choked for skeet, a trigger that does not stack but breaks cleanly at 3.75lb, this shotgun occupies its space as only a Model 12 can.
