Description:
This is a rare box in this condition. A blue label Winchester two piece, smokeless loading of .50-110-300 Express ammunition with 300 grain soft point, metal patched hollow point bullets. This seldom seen box has the “47 Grs. Smokeless Powder" call out as circa 1896-98 as seen in Giles & Shuey on page 161. The labels are in excellent condition with crisp graphics showing normal shelf rub wear on the primary. The two sunburst labels are present with front “Smokeless" and side “Soft Point" labels with mild age soiling. The square corner buff box is in near excellent condition with light edge wear on the top portion and older repairs to the bottom portion which also shows moderate age soiling. The original loading insert is present and in excellent condition along with the wood spacer inserts. The cartridges are all present, correct and in excellent condition with “W.R.A. Co. 50-110 EX" head stamps and “W" primers. A fantastic opportunity for the advanced Winchester or ammo collector.
