Description:
This is a full, 50 correct rounds, box of .44-40 ammunition manufactured by Winchester. This is the classic late 1870's box with headstamp round on top label next to central fire callout and 1873 carbine cut on sealing label with barrel band and rifle sight. The box remains in very good condition with tape residue and scuffing on top label. Side sealing label is 85% present with most loss on one end at top of cartridge cut. Box bottom still wears tape and shows one glue repaired edge. Box remains full with lead flat nose bullets in brass cases with W.R.A. CO 44 W.C.F. headstamps. Ammo shows slight discoloration and no corrosion.
