This is a ca. 1906-made revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, yoke, and extractor with the barrel (installed by the factory in 1952) retaining 99% plus of the original blue finish. The frame and cylinder retain about 90-92% of the original, slightly glossier blue finish with silvering along the high edges, a bright turn-ring on the cylinder, and general fading along the ejector rod. The hammer and trigger have a commensurate amount of original color case-hardening remaining, again with silvering along the edges, and the hard rubber S&W grips are in fine shape, with only mild flattening of the points and a few small handling marks and blemishes. The gripstrap is further marked with a S&W rework stamp on the inside of the left panel: "3.52 (star)". The lock-up is tight, and the action is fully functional. This is a fine example of a rare .32 HE Target revolver, with a factory replaced barrel.
