Payment Types Accepted: paypal, postal MO Description: This offering is for a very pleasing example of the 1903a1 Springfield rifle, originally produced in 1934 and refurbished for WWII at SA. The stock is well-marked, appears to be unsanded, and is in VG condition overall. The cartouche is that of George A. Woody, and was used circa 1944-5 during the WWII '03 rebuild proram at SA. It is accompanied by the period correct ordinance wheel as well. The sircle P and other markings are complete and all markings are guaranteed to be genuine. I have provided shots of the very few notable handling marks. Although SA/GAW cartouches on rebuilt 1903s are occasionally encoutered (but are considered to be fairly scarce), this the only example I have seen with a pre-war C-stock. In fact, every component on this rifle appears to be milled - probably refinished or NOS pre-WWII production. This high condition, historically interesting veteran would make an excellent addition to any advanced US martial arms collection and comes complete with a well-marked flat buckle sling dated 1944. Although the rifle has been checked and test fired by a professional gunsmith, shooter safety is the sole responsibility of the buyer and no shooting warranty is offered or implied on any used weapon.
