Description:
The Eclipse Gun Company registered their trademark in Belgium by Henri Pieper and were imported into the United States from 1896 until 1915. This gun started life as a Damascus shotgun and was converted to a double gun by an unknown gunsmith. Wood is solid and has been redone nicely. Barrels have been cut to 24" and lined to accept .45-70 Gov't. caliber. Barrels have been blued and retain a flat color. Post & Bead front sight and Williams adjustable rear notch sight have been added. Barrels are bright with visible twist. Interesting gun with an interesting history. .45-70 Government
