The M1 Garand was the first standard issue semi-automatic rifle for the US armed forces and is said to be the greatest battle-proven rifle ever. Replacing Springfield's M1903 bolt action rifle, this rifle has become a sought after collectable amongst all generations. These rifles were used across the branches of the military and are being honored by the Civilian Marksmanship Program.
