Description:
This Lightweight West Hurley-built semi-auto rifle is an Auto Ordnance Model of 1927 A1C chambered in .45 Auto. It has a Cutts compensator, a dovetail raised front sight, adjustable rear notch and ladder sight, detachable 20 round magazine, aluminum alloy receiver, a left side fire/safe safety selector, wood forearm, pistol grip, and buttstock, aluminum alloy receiver, sling swivel, a finned barrel, and a knurled bolt knob. The fixed stock is crafted in luxurious polished American Walnut and has a vertical foregrip. This rare aluminum receiver model is substantially lighter than its steel counterpart, weighing in at only 9 lbs even. The 1927 A-1C model with an aluminum alloy receiver and trigger frame was introduced in 1980. These Thompsons had the suffix LW for Light-Weight on the serial number. This firearm shows some slight bluing loss on a couple of places on the sharp edges of the receiver and some barely noticeable handling wear on the bottom of the butt stock.
