Description:
M1 Garand sold by CMP, I was told it has all new or like-new parts. The stock has the CMP Cartouche and the stock is new and appears to be beech but I am not an expert on wood but I am reasonably sure it is not walnut. A man used it as partial trade on my 57 Chevrolet and told me he did not think it had been fired until he got it on trade from someone else. He bought a box of 180 Grain Remington cartridges and shot it 3 or 4 times (forget the exact number but I have the box with the remaining cartridges). By serial number, it fits in the Korean War timeframe. I have the plastic carrying case and possibly the CMP label that came with it but not 100% sure about that. Gun is very much as new but does have a few handling marks, oh, the metal all seems to have been refinished with some type of matte finish standard military or ?? I do not know. I will try my best to answer all questions as best I can.
