Here we have an honest and true Belgian Browning Superposed Trap 12 gauge shotgun manufactured in 1962. The Browning Superposed was the first over and under shotgun design to be produced. The Superposed introduced a wide variety of innovations including the single select trigger and over-under design. This design was considered revolutionary in the 1930s, but it was later found that Browning had already made a model of this design in the 1880s. This beautiful Superposed has the wider vented Broadway trap rib with white mid bead and front bead sights. The 32" barrels are choked full and imp modified and the bores are bright and clean. The gun shows some light handling marks and is mechanically excellent. The top lever is well to the right of center and the action locks up tight and securely. The very attractive wood has nice grain and a rich warm tone. The cut checkering is still sharp and the butt pad looks to be original. The engraving is tastefully done but not overly ornate. This beautiful Browning would make an excellent addition to an existing collection or a great beginning to a new one.
