*** SOLD *** SOLD *** "Collector grade" 1967 Savage 99DE Citation Grade, in the desirable 243 Winchester, (serial # 1148072) with 22" barrel, absolutely killer wood, with lots of gorgeous grain, perfect engraving, unfired and in mint condition. The DE grade, made from 1965 to 1970, is one of the most elusive of all the Savage 99s to find on the open market and was the first factory engraved gun to be made since the 99K in 1940. Of the seven Savage 99 DEs that have come through my shop, this is only the second DE in the 243 Winchester. I would think that the vast majority of Savage collectors don't own a DE and many have never even seen one. They are my favorite of all the hand engraved 99s because of the running whitetail buck on the receiver bottom. Don't miss this opportunity to own a very hard to come, actually rare 99.
