On Hold Sale Pending This is a very good circa 1850's Percussion Target rifle built by Christian Siebert between 1852 -1856 in Columbus, Ohio.  Christian Siebert was born in Buckingham, Germany in 1822: After immigrating to Ohio he apprenticed for John Griffiths of Cincinnati in 1838; later in Louisville and finally in Columbus, Ohio.  The 28 inch octagon bull barrel is stamped on the top flat C Siebert - Columbus, Ohio is smooth and clean with some pitting near the nipple and in front of the hammer.   The gun has fancy adjustable front and rear sights and a very good clean approximately 38: caliber rifled bore. The double set triggers and lock functions fine and is also marked C Siebert The butt plate and trigger guard are brass.  The very good curly maple stock is very nice but has a hairline crack near the wrist.   The gun functions fine and looks great.  Please feel free to to contact with any questions.  Shipping will be actual cost approximately 60.   Sale Pending
