An Early Civil War Moore's Patent Firearms Co. S/A Belt Model Revolver In Fine Plus to Excellent Condition. Serial #4992, all matching numbers. All original and complete with a 5 inch barrel. Only made from 1861-1863. The revolver has fine metal and markings. The frame, backstrap, and trigger guard are all factory engraved. The barrel and cylinder on the gun retain most of their original blue with some areas showing light thinning. The frame, backstrap, and trigger guard all retain nearly all of their factory silver. All screws are fine. The original grips on the revolver are fine plus with most of their original varnish on them. It has a fine action and nice bore. Many of these Moore Revolvers were presented or bought by officers and enlisted men during the civil war. This Is A Fine Looking Example Of A Civil War Moore's Patent Firearms Co.
