This 7.65X53mm Argentine Infantry rifle was manufactured circa 1893 by Loewe of Berlin, Germany. The serial numbers are all matching. The metal has approx. 95% blue. The 29.1"" barrel has a very good bore with darkness in the grooves. The stock is very good with an arsenal repair near the butt plate. The wood appears to have been lightly sanded. The cartouche is still visible. As is usual for these rifles, the Argentine crest on the chamber has been removed. The cleaning riod is absent. The action functions correctly. This nearly 120 year old rifle is in very good overall condition.
