The full length 3 band dark walnut stock stock is very good but was cracked at the wrist long ago and has a excellent old and very sturdy repair (see photos). The full length 42" barrel has a nipple and bayonet lug and is dark brown with some pitting near the nipple. The functioning lock is marked US Springfield 1839 with the American eagle. All three bands the trigger gaurd, lock are a smooth dark brown. The but plate is dark brown and has pitting. The functioning musket is complete with ramrod and sling swivels.
