S O L D ....LAYAWAY?...SCARCE PERCUSSION 59'...Pos. GA Civil War Sharps New Model 1859 "Percussion" Carbine....
Serial no. 34416, .50-70 caliber, 22-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear ladder sight. .....IN HAND NOW.... Blued finish. R.S. Lawrence and C. Sharps patent dates to right side of receiver. Saddle ring. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Crescent metal buttplate. Early New Model 1859 manufactured c.1856-1860 with brass furniture. Many of the early Model 1859 and New Model 1859 carbines were bought by the State of Georgia.
Condition: It appears to be in Very Good condition.STRONG RIFLING in bore! Bore should clean to fine.
