Vintage cedar gunning box. Was originally made for an 1849 Colt Pocket gun, not included. Well made box with red velvet interior and shaping to specifically hold gun. Could be used to store or hold other items easily. Top of box has decorative metal hinge design with center plaque hand inscribed "Colt 1849." Has brass hinges, clasp that could be padlocked, and mirrored decorative metal. Piece is in good condition with minimal wear and tear on box from age and use. Great addition to a shooting or weapon collection or display, or could easily continue to be used for any other kind of storage, such as jewelry, writing or stationary, and much more. Size:
