Walter Paul Custom Sporting Mauser Bolt Action Rifle in 8MM. Mfg. Pre-WWII by Walter Paul of Hameln, Germany, Custom Gunsmith. LOP 13 3/4". 24" Barrel with a VERY GOOD Bore for it's age. Frosted with Light Pitting and STRONG RIFLING. DOUBLE SET TRIGGERS. The Blued Metal and Checkered Pistol Grip Stock and Smooth Forend with Schnabel have been FULLY RESTORED by SHOOTER'S EXCHANGE and LOOK GREAT. Solid Rail on top of Barrel with serrated grooves to reduce glare. Light Engraving on Receiver, trigger guard and magazine floorplate. Open sights with 2 leaf rear sight. TEST FIRED. Test Target 3 Shots Off Hand 25 Yards. Weight: 6.63 lbs. Trigger Pull: 1 1/4 lbs. with Set Trigger. > 8 lbs Without. Ships to Lower 48, W/Insurance: $60.00
NOTE: Took rifle to range, shot 12 more rounds, all left and high about 3 to 4 inches. Rear Sight, need's to be adjusted, Sights Very Fine, and my eyes may have been somewhat at fault.
