Description:
Colt 1911, chambered in .45 Auto. This particular 1911 was manufactured in 1918 as indicated by the over 500k NO. on the right side of the frame above the trigger. Sometime after it was sent for rework at the Springfield arsenal as indicated by the eagles head and S17 on the left side of the frame behind the trigger. It was here that both a different barrel and a hard slide were given to it, and it was parkerized. Grips are in great condition with minor wear. Frame and slide do have some minor loss of finish at certain areas. The bore is very clean and appears to have seen little use. .45 Auto
