Description:
Original U.S. Army Model 1881 Leather Cavalry holster. This holster has the two positioned holes to accommodate either a Colt 7 - 1/2" Cavalry Model Single Action or the Smith & Wesson Schofield US revolver. The original toe is intact. The embossed US on face is sharp, faint wear at the hinge of fold-over flap. The inspector stamp "TC" on flap is bold. On the inside of the flap fain stamp appears to read “S S & W Co.” On the face of the flap, appears to be the Rock Island arsenal stamp “faint see pictures.” Also, U.S or numbers stamped at the end of the flap.
