SALE PENDING (TRADE) MIKE W (NM) 8/18/22 Uniqu e, lst variatiion and lst year production. We think these are the most distinctive and handsom of all the Marlins; not a carbine but a big rifle with 24" barrel strait stock and monte carlo comb with factory pad. This is one of the better examples of the many we've had over the years with the metal in not far from new condtion and only modest evidence of handling to the American Walnut Stock Set. Still has front sight hood! Comes with a William peep and rear site removed for use of the peep.
Chambered in very potent 444 Rem (this was a colaberation between Remington and Marlin at the time). The case is based a significantly modifed 30 06 case with bullet weights avail to handloaders up to 265 grs making it capable of handling any game on the continent and possible the world for those who prefer a lever gun.
We have an 1895 SS coming in soon from a friend chambered in 45 70
