Beautiful special order BH Grade gun made in 1902 on a #2 Frame with beautiful 30" damascus barrels. Made with splinter forend, double triggers, extractors, auto safety. Beautifully engraved with dogs on sides surrounded by scroll and birds at front of sides. "Parker Bros" in beautiful banner at front of frame. Trigger plate with beautifully executed dogs and flushing bird surrounded by beautiful scroll engraving. Fancifully figured pistol grip buttstock with gold grip cap and original engraved skeleton buttplate. Made for M.B. Richardson of Lime Rock, CT with his son's initials engraved on the gold pistol grip cap. Gun matches the factory letter exactly and is as clean as a whistle!
Overall, the gun remains in superb untouched original condition - exactly the way collectors of American guns like to find them. The barrels retain about 90-95% vivid original damascus pattern. The action has toned with crisp engraving and retains strong traces of original color. Stocks are sound and crisp and retain most of their original finish with only minor handling marks. Buttplate is excellent. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. Just a very clean all original gun!
