US Model 1863 Type ll 58 Caliber Civil war musket dated 1864. The full length 3 band walnut stock is in very good condition with a good cartouche and has been cleaned. The full length barrel has both front and leaf rear sights. The functioning lock is marked USbSpringfield 1864 1864 with the American eagle. All metal parts have a brown patina with some scaylight pitting. The bore needs cleaning but shows good rifeling. The musket appears to be complete and correct with original ramrod.
