Description:
This is the vintage and more difficult-to-find Model 36 No Dash "Chief's Special" with the 3" barrel in high condition. Serial# J352843, circa 1975-76, blued, J-frame, with the preferred by many round butt & walnut grips w/ silver medallions. The barrel is the early 'pinned' version and it has a 5-round capacity for .38 Special ammo. The single/double action is crisp, the wheel locks up tight and its timing is perfect. The entire gun maintains about 99% of its bluing. The grips, checkering and finish have no visible wear. The bore is bright, and rifling is sharp. The stamped lettering is clear & crisp. The finish is excellent. The entire gun is in very high condition and has been well cared for. A nice carry piece that packs a punch. Included is an S & W pistol pouch and two 5-round speed loaders.
