SOLD.............LAYAWAY?....SHARPS NEW MODEL 1859 3-BAND RIFLE
SERIAL 56775. BARREL 30". CALBER 52. No bayonet lug, three bands with nose cap, Lawrence patent rear sight, iron furniture including patch box, two strong military cartouche stamps on left side of stock, near full length fore-arm, sling swivels, sharp legends on both sides of frame, model on breech and Sharps barrel legends. Inspector stamps on left side of barrel at breech. Condition. Overall, metal is a smooth homogenous patina. Stocks are proud to metal with usual dings & impressions. There is a 2": crack at fore-arm and frame at base. Small hairline at toe and a previous owner inlaid a wooden 1 1/4" six point star on right side of frame.
