Description:
This Colt rifle is New Old Stock in its original blue label box, never fired since purchased brand new by first and only owner and stowed away in a closet and forgotten about until recently. Documentation proving this is available upon request. It has a pre ban serial number prefix BD and six digits, the first three of which are zeroes. The last three digits are within 87 digits of the so-called cutoff number for preban status, meaning that it was manufactured during the AWB 1994-2004 ban, but does not carry the ban era serial number prefix of LBD, and, it does not have the LE ONLY restriction rollmark that it should have, both of which are factory error. Instead, the factory put an LE ONLY sticker on the box. This is PROOF POSITIVE that these rarities were NOT assembled AFTER the ban was over. A curious way to handle the sale of a postban gun with preban characteristics. It is a rarity from the ban era to have such a factory error end up in civilian hands that probably should have been destroyed, but wasn't. Buyer to pay actual cost of shipping and insurance.
