Here we present a Colt Python in 357 Magnum, beautiful blued finish and warm walnut checkered grips with the gold rampant Colt medallion.
Year of manufacture is ~1975, which makes this classic snake revolver a vintage collectable. 6-round capacity, able to shoot .38 Special as well out of this blued beauty, finish is in good condition, especially for a 45 year old revolver. This vintage double action snake gun is getting harder to find and is very collectable, it's also just fun to shoot!
Cylinder swings out nicely, locks up tight and bore is clean, slight cylinder wear as shown in photos. This revolver features a serrated ramp front sight and a fully adjustable rear sight.
These revolvers are just the classic quality we all have come to know from Colt and a beautiful addition to any collection, or just plain fun to shoot! It was first introduced in 1955, the same year as Smith & Wesson's M29 .44 Magnum. The Colt Python is intended for the premium revolver market segment. Some firearm collectors and writers such as Jeff Cooper, Ian V. Hogg, Chuck Hawks, Leroy Thompson, Scott Wolber, Renee Smeets and Martin Dougherty have described the Python as "the finest production revolver ever made".
