Description:
A truly iconic, wonderful revolver…The S&W model 27, .357 magnum built on the large “N” frame. The model 27 was the production model numbered version of the first S&W .357 magnum, the Registered Magnum; and the 27-2 incorporated the latest production changes and was the last numbered model to have a recessed cylinder and pinned barrel. (Seemingly all susequent changes were made to decrease the manufacturing cost of the revolver!) Making the 27-2 one of the most desirable and collectible 27’s.
This 27-2 has a 6” barrel with special ordered Patridge front sight, white outline rear sight, target hammer and target trigger. (3T’s).
This gun is mechanically perfect. Cosmetically this revolver is suffering from poor storage. Although the gun appears to have been fired very little, it was apparently stored so that the top of the frame and an area on the outside of the cylinder were subjected to enough moisture to cause noticeable pitting/rusting. None of the cosmetic damage will affect the shoot ability of this 27-2 but it is there, and it is easy to spot.
