Dan Wesson Revolvers are praised for their innovation, reliability, and accuracy. Their iconic designs date back to the 1960s when Dan Wesson left Smith & Wesson to create a revolver with interchangeable barrels. Dan hired engineer Karl Lewis to design the revolvers and their actions. The end result has produced a cult-like following of the brand. We engineered our PRECISION ACTION TUNING & TRIGGER TUNING© for these fine revolvers years ago. We extensively polish key points within the action, make a minor change in the geometry in 1 area, then harden the areas that we polished.
Dan Wesson used early MIM technology to make their parts. They have a hard "skin", but it gets pretty thin (or sometimes) is removed during the tuning process. We addressed this long ago. When we are done tuning your Dan Wesson Revolver is will be smooth and slick with a crisp and light single-action trigger pull. The double-action trigger pull will be smooth throughout its cycle. Trigger return is swift and free from hesitation. Overall, the "coarse" feeling that the action had is gone. Every friction point that is polished or modified is hardened to maintain long life. We apply "Old School Craftsmanship" to every part. They become extremely smooth and slick revolvers.
