We normally ship USPS Priority Mail which should be 2-day ship. Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Description:
The original Combat Commander was produced between 1971 and 1999. It was developed in response to complaints from some users about the excessive recoil and rapid wear of the original, aluminum alloy-framed Commander. The Combat Commander was visibly identical, except it used a steel frame. The pistol shown here is one of Colt’s current, top of the line 1911 models, and is essentially an improved version of the original, with the full name of Combat Elite Commander. It retains the Combat Commander’s 4.25” barrel and steel frame. In this case, the Elite uses a stainless steel frame, slide and barrel as opposed to the carbon steel used in the original. There is a small scratch on the right side of the slide behind the serrations, and another one on the frame just above the serial number. There is a spot of wear near the top right corner of the slide. The bore is nearly spotless. The pistol is mechanically very tight and a trigger job has been performed. The grips are manufactured by N.C. Ordnance which has permission from Colt to use their iconic medallion in these aftermarket grips. N.C. produces grips for many different pistols not only from Colt but other manufactures as well. As it states in the title, these grips are, as N.C. Ordnance calls them, “repro” ram horn grips. They are not made from real ram horn. Nonetheless, they are very high quality grips and certainly look authentic. The original G10 grips come with the pistol as well as the original box, manual, 1 factory mag, and two Mec-Gar mags.
