Incredibly rare Model 70 Super Grade in 35 Remington caliber. S/N 55*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1946. 24" Barrel. Excellent condition throughout showing 97% Blue and Varnish overall with nice dark wood. Excellent bore and mechanics. As far as production figures go, this rifle is neck and neck with the 300 Savage as the 2 rarest cataloged Model 70 calibers there are, with only 42 units separating them, but I can assure you that there are dramatically fewer 35 Rems currently in circulation, due to rampant fraud of the much easier to conterfeit 300 Savage to the untrained eye. Super Grades in 35 Rem are of course practically nonexistent! All genuine and correct SG components are present including proper front sight and detachable swivels. This genuine 35 Rem rifle also has all of the mandatory and unique internal components such as a #7 magazine box, #5 ejector, and special placement of the bolt collar stop. The bolt face recess is of the correct and slightly diminished diameter which holds the case head firmly, while combined with its special and slightly longer lipped extractor that is correctly stamped with an R on the back.
