Description:
A stunning Rigby Ballard 6 1/2 rifle chambered in 40-63. 30 inch round barrel, mid-range vernier tang sight and a spirit level globe front sight. Excellent bore, shiny with strong lands and grooves, no corrosion with 95%+ original factory blue. Factory engraved by one of the Master engravers of the period, grizzly scene on the left and elk scene on the right. Rigby flats and the muzzle are also engraved. The action retains some case colors on the falling block, hammer and lever. The engraved part of the action retains 100% of its original nickel plate. The petite checkered forend retains its original checkering and finely carved schnabel buffalo horn insert. The deluxe checkered pistol grip stock also retains its buffalo horn insert, sharp checkering and swiss butt plate. The rifle weighs 9 lbs. 6 ounces...A beautiful American rifle of exquisite craftsmanship that would be almost impossible to upgrade.
