Here we present an antique unmarked Allen & Thurber Double Barrel Single Trigger Percussion pistol manufactured circa 1850 in Worcester, Massachusetts. This is one of an estimated 500 to 1,000 manufactured circa the 1850s as an attempt to produce a pocket pistol with the increased firepower of two shots instead of one. A single trigger operates both hammers simultaneously. In a day when the single shot pistol was the standard, this side by side percussion pistol would have been a very handy self-defense weapon to have around, having two shots to fire off instead of one! The overall condition is very good. Gray patina throughout. Nice engravings, including the panoply on the back of the grip frame, which is a bit unusual compared to others we’ve had. The action is excellent. The bores are sharply rifled. The grips are in nice shape. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 5-3/4 inches. Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1600 #220116 SOLD Antique: Yes |
