Smith & Wesson pre-model 17 K22 revolver. 5-screw K-22 that has had the barrel professionally cut to 4”, a recessed target type crown and sights reinstalled.
90% overall finishes, diamond grips, fabulous action, mirror perfect bore and like all of the early S&W’s…smooth.
Since this gun was made in mid 1948, you could guess that since the pre-18 had not been introduced yet, was the rationale for cutting the barrel to 4”
