S/N 55*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1946. 24" Barrel. Excellent condition throughout showing 98% Blue and Varnish overall with nice dark wood. Excellent bore and mechanics. As far as production figures go, this rifle is neck and neck with the 300 Savage as the 2 rarest cataloged Model 70 calibers there are, with only 42 units separating them, but I can assure you that the 35 Rem is significantly more difficult to locate in any configuration. Super Grades in 35 Rem are of course practically nonexistent! All genuine and correct SG components are present including proper front sight and detachable swivels. This genuine 35 Rem rifle also has all of the mandatory and unique internal components such as a #7 magazine box, #5 ejector, and special placement of the bolt collar stop. The bolt face recess is of the correct slightly diminished diameter which, while combined with its special and slightly longer lipped extractor that is correctly stamped with an R on the back, holds the case head firmly as it should for positive feeding and ejecting.
